Writing: A New Spark While on vacation recently I was suddenly hit with a ton of inspiration. It seems like a lot of Booktubers lately have been writing and it's really pushed me to start writing again! My writing, much like my reading, really started when I was in middle school/early high school. It was during the times when a little boy band by the name of The Jonas Brothers were popular and Miley Cyrus was just Hannah Montana. I was in my room writing random stories and LOTS of fanfiction. That was really how I started to develop my style and improve my writing. I've completed one whole fanfiction story and I've participated in Nanowrimo once (I didn't win). I haven't ever stopped writing. Though for the last years, I have been in this weird place. My writing has slowed down considerably. I keep the notes app on my phone open for any ideas I might have and I write a few times a week at least but it seems that I can't find a solid enough ide

#TBRTakedown 4.0 June 20th (12:00 am) - June 26th (11:59 pm) I took part in the TBRTakedown 4.0 Challenge. It is hosted by  @leaninglights . Now this time, around with TBRTakedown it was a lot more difficult to read. When this readathon started I just one, finished up another readathon, and two I had just gotten back from my vacation.  TBR Challenges: A book that's been on your TBR Shelf Over a Year! An unread sequel sitting on your TBR shelf. The first book in a series on your TBR shelf. An "out of your comfort zone" book. A book from your most recent book haul. A book that's been on your TBR Shelf Over a Year: The BFG  by Roald Dahl ★★★★ This book was super cute! Sophie and the BFG's relationship was just too adorable but the book did have darker undertones that I wasn't expecting. I mean I know that the book was about one friendly giant and a whole slew of evil ones but I didn't expect it to be darker than the giants eating

The Hamilton Book Tag!  ( Source ) I recently got really into Hamilton (in the last month). Then on my trip, I went on we listened to the soundtrack (the whole deal). I'm still not sure on all the lyrics but I love the songs and I'm slowly learning the words and will get them down eventually. Then when I got back I thought about how I still haven't done this tag so here we are! If you haven't listened to it yet do it! It's long (2+ hours) but it is really worth it!  Spotify   Youtube ~SOME SPOILERS~ The Room Where It Happens: Book world you would put yourself in I would say if I got to go into any book world (other than the obvious answer; Harry Potter) I would for sure have to say The Land of Oz! The Wizard of Oz is one of my favorite childhood movies and even with the Wicked Witch I've always wanted to visit that magical land.  The Schuyler Sisters:  Underrated Female Character  I don't know maybe Sansa Stark?? My Sho

#TOMETOPPLE READ-A-THON June 5th 12:00 am - June 19th 11:59 pm Thoughts on Tomes  came up with this read-a-thon. It focuses on big books. Most read-a-thons focus on reading as many books as possible. I have many big books that I want to tackle so when I heard there was going to be a read-a-thon about reading as many pages as you can I wanted in.  WRAP UP: This read-a-thon didn't go as planned. I knew going into it that I would be on vacation the last week of the read-a-thon so I had a plan to read majority of my books the first week. That didn't happen. I did read some but not as much as I like. I had family issues going on that had stopped my reading and once that had settled I was on vacation. Again I read as much as I could. Challenges: Read more than one tome (500+ pages) &  Read an adult novel For these two challenges I read Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I started reading this book at the beginning of the month. I made quite a bit of a

Disney Princess Book Tag!  ( Source ) I saw that this was a tag and I got really excited I've been reading A Court of Thrones and Roses recently and so I've been in a Disney mood lately so I had to do this tag! Disney Facts: My favorite Disney story is Beauty and the Beast! (What a surprise!) I haven't actually seen all the movies of  these princesses yet. Mulan is my most watched Disney princess movie. Snow White - What's your favorite classic? I don't read a ton of classics but out of all the classic books I had to read in school the one that sticks out in my mind is Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut. It's a very strange book but in the context that Vonnegut wrote it makes the book so fascinating. I even wrote a whole paper on the book. I love it so much. Cinderella - What book kept you up way past your bedtime?  The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins had me up all night! I just had to know what was going to happen
