#SPOOKATHON WRAP UP October 17th (12:00 am) - October 23rd  (11:59 pm) #Spookathon was sort of a success.... I mean I had a lot of fun and really enjoyed what I read but I also I never did finish a book. What a surprise! Another readathon that I tried to complete and then absolutely failed. This time though was my fault. I purposely stopped reading because I've been so excited to start Nanowrimo. All I can think about is my story and planning for my story. So reading as fallen to the wayside. I will be working hard at Nanowrimo prep until November starts.  CHALLENGES: 1. Read a thriller 2. Read a book with red on the cover 3. Read a book with a spooky word in the title 4. Read a 2016 release 5. Read a book with a paranormal character/creature What I did read was these three books here. Again though I didn't finish any on these. :( :

Review: November 9  by Colleen Hoover Format (That I Read It): Ebook Summary: Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist. Initial Thoughts: I remember being so excited when I heard this book was coming out. I've only read one Colleen Hoover book and that was Ugly Love.  I was most excited and only knew it was about two people meeting on the same day every year. One of them is writing a book. Review: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I didn't expe...

TRY A CHAPTER TAG (#1) Source: BookParadise I saw this tag going around today and thought it was perfect for the readathon I'm doing. What you do is pick five books (or less if you want) and read the first chapter of each book to try and decide what you want to read next. I am finishing up November 9 by Colleen Hoover and I'm not sure what I want to dive into next. This will probably be the first of many of these that I do.  Book 1: Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas Book 2: Scarlet by Marissa Meyer Book 3: Captive Prince by C.S. Pacat  Book 4: Night Film by Marisha Pessl Book 5: And I Darken by Kiersten White I'm not going to say what I picked to read. If you want to know then you will have to tune into my wrap up of A Bout Of Books readathon.

Review: All The Missing Girls  by Megan Miranda Format (That I Read It): Ebook, ARC (Advance Reader Copy) Summary: Like the spellbinding psychological suspense in The Girl on the Train and Luckiest Girl Alive, Megan Miranda’s novel is a nail-biting, breathtaking story about the disappearances of two young women—a decade apart—told in reverse. It’s been ten years since Nicolette Farrell left her rural hometown after her best friend, Corinne, disappeared from Cooley Ridge without a trace. Back again to tie up loose ends and care for her ailing father, Nic is soon plunged into a shocking drama that reawakens Corinne’s case and breaks open old wounds long since stitched. The decade-old investigation focused on Nic, her brother Daniel, boyfriend Tyler, and Corinne’s boyfriend Jackson. Since then, only Nic has left Cooley Ridge. Daniel and his wife, Laura, are expecting a baby; Jackson works at the town bar; and Tyler is dating Annaleise Carter...

#TBRTakedown 3.5 April 8th (12:00 am) - April 10th (11:59 pm) I took part in the TBRTakedown 3.5 Challenge. It is hosted by  @leaninglights . Normally TBR Takedown is a week long readathon but this is just a mini-readathon that is three days long.  TBR Challenges: Standalone  Most Recent Haul Catch Up in a Series TBR Shelf Over a Year (Or the Longest) *MINOR SPOILERS BELOW* Day 1: Catch Up in a Series The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan ★★★★ I loved getting back into the world of Percy Jackson. The humor was still there in places but there was something about this book that made me not like it as much as the first two books. I mean it still was fantastic but it didn't live up to the other two. The story was mainly setting up for the last two books in the series. That probably is because I was spoiled her major plot points that occurred. The story was mainly setting up for the last two books in the series. Another thing that sort of ruined t...
