Suicide Squad Book Tag!   ( Source: RoseBooks ) I saw the movie on Monday and so I had to find if there was a book tag and there was! RoseBooks on Youtube created this tag and I decided that I would change it up a bit. Instead of doing book characters for my Suicide Squad I chose TV Show characters. 1:  HARLEY QUINN – KICK ASS [CRAZY IS OPTIONAL] HEROINE This one was a really easy one to pick someone for and it has to be Lagertha from Vikings . She is one of the most bad ass people I've watched on TV, She's a shield maiden and leads tons of people in battle. 2:  DEADSHOT – A CHARACTER THAT HAD GOOD INTENTIONS BUT WENT DOWN THE WRONG PATH. Jax Teller from Sons of Anarchy . At the beginning of the show he really had a lot of great ideas/thoughts of how he walked to change the Club. How he wanted to do the right thing and in the end things didn't turn out the way he planned. 3:  RICK FLAG – THE LEADER OF THE SQUAD This one ...

Fireworks Tag!  ( Source ) Since it's 4th of July I decided to get me into the spirit I would do a fun tag. I wanted to make a fireworks tag but it already existed so here we go! Screamers: A book that made you want to scream! (In a good or bad way) The Walking Dead comics for sure made me scream (in sort of a bad way.) I really love the show and decided to start reading the comics and quickly, I found out that they are not like the show. There are more people and things that didn't happen in the show. Also some of my favorites from the show I didn't like in the comics. Bombers: A book that you read before it “exploded” in the book community There isn't a book that I can think of that I read before it was hyped. I haven't been watching Booktube for that long (a year maybe). So for that reason, I don't really have an answer. I am usually late to the game if anything. Banger: A banned book you read The Giver by Lois Lowery. I had to ...

#Cramathon 2015 (December 19th-December 22nd) Cramathon was hosted by Whittynovels on Youtube. It was created to read as many books as possible to finish your Goodreads challenge for the year. I wasn't originally going to participate being I would be very busy the first day that the Cramathon took place. I also didn't really need the help with my reading challenge. I only had three books left to read to meet my goal for the year, but I decided I wasn't going to give up an opportunity to get some of the books on my TBR (To Be Read) read.  Challenges: Read an audiobook or ebook Read a bind up Finish a series/read the last book of a series Read a book under 200 pages Finish a book you DNF’ed Read a graphic novel series (or as many graphic novels as you can) Read 5 books total Day 1:  I didn't read anything the first day. I was too busy. Day 2:  Read a book under 200 pages:  The Twits by Roald Dahl:  ★★...

Review: Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff Format (That I Read It): Book/Audiobook Summary: This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do. This afternoon, her planet was invaded. The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit. But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person...

Review: The Walking Dead, Vol. 05: The Best Defense ( The Walking Dead #25-30) by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard (Illustrator), Cliff Rathburn (Illustrator) Format (That I Read It): Comics Summary: As the survivors settle into their prison home something has drawn them out into the open... out of the prison... out of their sanctuary. This is a major turning point for the overall story of The Walking Dead, setting the stage for years to come. Initial Thoughts: The reason I read this is still the same as it has been but I choose to read it now was because I wasn't feeling the books I was reading. I could feel a reading slump coming on so I decided what better way to prevent that than reading something quick and easy like a comic book. ↓ Spoilers ↓ Review: ★★★★ The last volume wasn’t the best. It was a slow read. This volume, on the other hand, was a fantastic installment. I gave this book four stars. The series picked up the pace really quickly with the i...

Review: The Walking Dead Vol. 04: The Heart's Desire (The Walking Dead #19-24) by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard (Illustrator), Cliff Rathburn (Illustrator) Format (That I Read It):  Comics Summary: Life in the prison starts to get interesting for Rick Grimes and the rest of our survivors. Relationships heat up, fizzle out, and change entirely almost overnight. By the end of this volume, relationships between key characters are radically changed, setting the stage for future events in The Walking Dead. Initial Thoughts: With the Mid-Season Finale just around the corner I knew I needed to hurry and catch up to the where the series is in the comics. At the end of this season (Season 6), a major evil villain from the comics is being added to the cast and before that happens I want to know this man is that everyone is talking about.  !!SPOILERS BELOW!! Review:  ★ ★ ★ I gave this volume an overall rating of 3 stars. At the start o...

Review: The Walking Dead Vol. 03: Safety Behind Bars (The Walking Dead #13-18) by Robert Kirkman, Charlie Adlard (Illustrator) Format (That I Read It):  Comics Summary: An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. In a matter of months, society has crumbled: there is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV. In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living. This volume follows our band of survivors as they set up a permanent camp inside a prison. Relationships change, characters die, and our team of survivors learn there's something far more deadly than zombies out there: each other. Initial Thoughts: I love the Tv Show of The Walking Dead. I always here people talk about the comics and how good they are so back in July I read the first 12 issues and enjoyed them well enough to continue on. As the show gets more intense I feel the need to know w...
