Anything But Books Tag Source I saw some Booktubers do this tag and I loved the questions so I decided to do it too. The tag is exactly what the title says; it's asking questions about everything but books. 1. Name a cartoon(s) that you love. Now I can make a whole post about my favorite cartoons but for now, I will talk about two cartoons that I've finished and loved (most recently). They are Gravity Falls and Over The Garden Wall . Let me talk about Gravity Falls first. Gravity Falls if you don't know is about two siblings, twins, named Dipper and Mabel. They get dropped off at their Uncle's tourist shop in Gravity Falls, Oregon but the town isn't what it seems. This show ended last year with only two seasons but they were so fantastic. Not many shows can shock me but this show had a major twist (at the end of season one) that I didn't seem coming. There are so many puzzles and hints hidden throughout the show. The creator Alex Hirsch add...

Writing: Nanowrimo Try 2017 (A Super Late  Update  Sorry) So I started this year coming up with such a fantastic idea for a Nanowrimo story that I couldn't help start immediately writing down all my thoughts. I started a Pinterest board, a Spotify playlist, etc. I've been doing this since the first of the year (the first week). I feel more excited a ready to write this than I was for last years Nanowrimo. Then I decided I was gonna work on in all year and hopefully do own Nanowrimo next month (March). There are 31 days next month and I plan on writing 25,000 words which averages to about 807 words a day. There is a lot of research that needs to be done before I start writing. That is why I was saying that I hope to do my own Nanowrimo but I'm not sure if I can finish my research before then. It's gonna be in the fantasy genre and I need to flesh stuff out before I can move forward. I never updated what happened to my other story but I didn't finish it. I...

Writing: Nanowrimo Update.... Nanowrimo is a lot harder this year than years past. It's day 8 now and I've gotten very discouraged. The first two days were fine and I felt really excited to be writing but then it hit. This sudden slump. On day three I went out and instead of writing I went shopping (Which I'm really, REALLY happy with my purchase ) but I didn't write all day. I barely made a dent in my daily word count that day. Ever since then it's like I hit a wall. I don't know what to write. I've tried shipping around to write other scenes I know but that's only gone so far. After I write those scenes I'm stuck again. I don't feel motivated and I dread having to write more. The problem is I don't want to quit. It seems too early to quit but I'm so busy this month and I also still have a large TBR that I have to finish if I want to meet my Goodreads goal. I've fallen behind in everything and I don't know what to do....
NANOWRIMO  is t wo weeks away.... That being said I needed to make myself a checklist: ☑  Sign up for Nanowrimo (Friend Me @AmandaPanda24) ☐ Nanowrimo Bullet Journal ( Source ) ☐ Make/Print Nanowrimo C alendar ☐ Story Outline ☐ Backstory ☐ Character Detail(s) Sheet ☐ Spotify Playlist (Complete) ☑  Make Pinterest Board ☑  Download Scrivener? (You can get the Nanowrimo free trail that will last you from the moment you downloaded it until Dec. 7th)       ☐ Figure Out How To Use Scrivener ☐ Supplies (Go Out and Buy)
Writing: NANOWRIMO The doom is impending.... It's almost the end of September and that means we are gonna be only one month away from November. That means NANOWRIMO time! For those who don't know NANOWRIMO stands for National Novel Writing Month. You spend one month (the month of November) trying to make it through writing a novel or at least 50,000 words of one. If' you've been following my blog for sometime you know that I've been trying to work on a story. I've been planning on writing this story for this years NANOWRIMO. I actually haven't wrote any of the real story what I have been doing is working on a backstory and my characters. I'm planning on spending October finalizing my planning and organization of my novel. Mainly: I want to be done making my playlist on Spotify, putting all my notes in order, and having my outline fleshed out. I think these things will help me immensely! I've participated in NANOWRIMO I believe in 2011/2012...

Writing: Music Inspiration For the past few months, I've listened to the same album on repeat. It's been the cause of many things I'm working on. It's been where I'm getting a ton of my inspiration. Not only for my writing (which I will get to that in a minute) but also my art. The album is Atlas: Year One by Sleeping At Last. The album is just amazing to me. It's made up of six EPs. But the one thing that I find really unique is that they have themes. But the one things that I find really unique is that they have themes: Darkness (1), Light (2), Space I (3), Space II (4), Land (5), Ocean (6).    There are about thirty songs and they are oh so beautiful. I have my favorites (mainly the space ones, the planets). I made some art stuff too.   This album has really pushed me to write my story. I had an epiphany one night while I was listening to the album and it made me so excited for my story. I wish I had more time to write bu...

Discussion: New Focus/ New Priority It's been a crazy week! I've gotten so behind in everything lately and it's caused me to rethink a lot. This post will probably be late too....*sigh*. My family came into town and since I don't see them often I hung out with them the whole time they were here. I caused me to get behind in this blog and my readathon of Game of Thrones . I've come to the conclusion that I'm trying to do too much all at once. I think going from not posting regularly to three times a week was not the best transition. Another problem I have is the Game of Thrones readathon. For June like I've said I read Dragonfly in Amber instead and to be honest it wasn't a fun time. I felt like I was constantly pushing myself to read. The same thing is happening with Clash of Kings it feels like work and that's not what I want my reading to be. I don't want to end up in another reading slump because I forced myself to read so...

Writing: A New Spark While on vacation recently I was suddenly hit with a ton of inspiration. It seems like a lot of Booktubers lately have been writing and it's really pushed me to start writing again! My writing, much like my reading, really started when I was in middle school/early high school. It was during the times when a little boy band by the name of The Jonas Brothers were popular and Miley Cyrus was just Hannah Montana. I was in my room writing random stories and LOTS of fanfiction. That was really how I started to develop my style and improve my writing. I've completed one whole fanfiction story and I've participated in Nanowrimo once (I didn't win). I haven't ever stopped writing. Though for the last years, I have been in this weird place. My writing has slowed down considerably. I keep the notes app on my phone open for any ideas I might have and I write a few times a week at least but it seems that I can't find a solid enough ide...
