Stranger Things Book Tag! ( Source: Sarah Sunbeemz ) I watched Stranger Things and like most shows I watch I like to do the book tags so when I saw that this was a tag I just had to do it. 1: EPIC INTRO – The opening of Stranger Things is amazing and really grabs your attention. Name a book that grabbed you attention from the first page. A book that grabbed my attention from the first page (at least recently) has to be November 9 by Colleen Hoover. The first sentence wasn't anything special or something that immediately made me want to watch them all. The thing is, though, I read the first page. Then the next, and the next. Before I knew it I was finishing the book. 2: Dungeons & Dragons – Name a fantasy world you would like to experience yourself. One of the many, many fantasy worlds I'd like to live in is the world of The Lunar Chronicles . I've only read the first one but the world just seems amazing! I loved ...

Review: Morning Star by Pierce Brown Format (That I Read It): Book Summary: Darrow would have lived in peace, but his enemies brought him war. The Gold overlords demanded his obedience, hanged his wife, and enslaved his people. But Darrow is determined to fight back. Risking everything to transform himself and breach Gold society, Darrow has battled to survive the cutthroat rivalries that breed Society’s mightiest warriors, climbed the ranks, and waited patiently to unleash the revolution that will tear the hierarchy apart from within. Finally, the time has come. But devotion to honor and hunger for vengeance run deep on both sides. Darrow and his comrades-in-arms face powerful enemies without scruple or mercy. Among them are some Darrow once considered friends. #TOMETOPPLE READ-A-THON June 5th 12:00 am - June 19th 11:59 pm Thoughts on Tomes came up with this read-a-thon. It focuses on big books. Most read-a-thons focus on reading as many books as possible. I have many big books that I want to tackle so when I heard there was going to be a read-a-thon about reading as many pages as you can I wanted in. WRAP UP: This read-a-thon didn't go as planned. I knew going into it that I would be on vacation the last week of the read-a-thon so I had a plan to read majority of my books the first week. That didn't happen. I did read some but not as much as I like. I had family issues going on that had stopped my reading and once that had settled I was on vacation. Again I read as much as I could. Challenges: Read more than one tome (500+ pages) & Read an adult novel For these two challenges I read Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I started reading this book at the beginning of the month. I made quite a bit...

The Intimidating TBR Book Tag! ( Source ) 1.What book have you been unable to finish? Before I Go To Sleep by S.J. Watson was one of the few books that I've DNF'd. I tried to read this book several times and I couldn't seem to get through it. It just couldn't seem to hold my interest. Maybe someday I'll finally finish it. What book have you yet to read because... 2. ... you haven't had the time? All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. I absolutely LOVE historical fiction and I can't wait to read this book because I've heard so many fantastic things. The problem I have is there so many other books that I've been reading and so hopefully soon I will get to this soon! 3. ... it's a sequel? Even though I read the first two books and LOVED them (it even became some of my favorite books of all time) I have yet to read Morning Star by Pierce Brown. I pre-ordered this book and got really upset when I didn...

#Cramathon 2015 (December 19th-December 22nd) Cramathon was hosted by Whittynovels on Youtube. It was created to read as many books as possible to finish your Goodreads challenge for the year. I wasn't originally going to participate being I would be very busy the first day that the Cramathon took place. I also didn't really need the help with my reading challenge. I only had three books left to read to meet my goal for the year, but I decided I wasn't going to give up an opportunity to get some of the books on my TBR (To Be Read) read. Challenges: Read an audiobook or ebook Read a bind up Finish a series/read the last book of a series Read a book under 200 pages Finish a book you DNF’ed Read a graphic novel series (or as many graphic novels as you can) Read 5 books total Day 1: I didn't read anything the first day. I was too busy. Day 2: Read a book under 200 pages: The Twits by Roald Dahl: ★★...

Review: Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff Format (That I Read It): Book/Audiobook Summary: This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do. This afternoon, her planet was invaded. The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit. But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person...
