Review: A Court of Mist and Fury  by Sarah J. Maas Format (That I Read It): Book Summary: Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people. Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two. With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights. Initial Thoughts: After I read A Court of...

Review: It Ends With Us  by Colleen Hoover Format (That I Read It): Book Summary: Lily hasn't always had it easy, but that's never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She's come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up - she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily's life suddenly seems almost too good to be true. Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He's also sensitive, brilliant, and has a total soft spot for Lily, but Ryle's complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan - her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears, everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened. Initial Tho...

#Bout of Books 17 Wrap Up August 22nd  (12:00 am) -  August 28 th (11:59 pm) Well, this didn't go so well. I thought that I would have more time to read but so much happened this whole week. My days off turned into more work and family was in town again so I didn't have any time to really get any of my reading I had planned down. I didn't feel good either. I only ended up reading really one book and not even a fourth of the other one. I even wrote a full review of November 9 here.  I'm still trying to get through Crown of Midnight which makes me upset because I want to be caught up before Empire of Storms comes out next week but I'm not sure that will happen. That's what I'm going to do going forward. I will be trying to read all the Throne of Glass books.

Review: November 9  by Colleen Hoover Format (That I Read It): Ebook Summary: Fallon meets Ben, an aspiring novelist, the day before her scheduled cross-country move. Their untimely attraction leads them to spend Fallon’s last day in L.A. together, and her eventful life becomes the creative inspiration Ben has always sought for his novel. Over time and amidst the various relationships and tribulations of their own separate lives, they continue to meet on the same date every year. Until one day Fallon becomes unsure if Ben has been telling her the truth or fabricating a perfect reality for the sake of the ultimate plot twist. Initial Thoughts: I remember being so excited when I heard this book was coming out. I've only read one Colleen Hoover book and that was Ugly Love.  I was most excited and only knew it was about two people meeting on the same day every year. One of them is writing a book.
