Review:

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas

Format (That I Read It):

Book

Summary:

Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court—but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin's people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms—and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future—and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

Initial Thoughts:

After I read A Court of Thorns and Roses back in June/July I went out and bought A Court of Mist and Fury and I could not wait to read it. I literally sat inside Starbucks (connected to Barnes & Noble) and read the first few chapters before leaving. But then the slump set in and I put it off because of its size.

Review:

This book was amazing! I absolutely loved this book. Like my thoughts I had with Crown of Midnight, it reminded me a lot of reading The Mortal Instruments. In this book, we were introduced to many new characters and places that made me fall in love with the world. Especially Azriel. Of course, my favorite is Rhysand. But there was something about Azriel that I really loved (probably that mysterious bad boy demeanor). Feyre became so much better while I lost all my enjoyment of Tamlin for obvious reasons if you've read the books. I actually hope that Lucien turns out differently because I would like to see more of him. My favorite part of the book was getting to see the Night Court (Velaris). Picturing it was amazing then again I'm obsessed with space/stars. It was also really nice to see some glimpses at the other courts. It was all very picturesque. It actually inspired me to do something I didn't think I would paint the book cover. Actually, it turned out really good!
