Review:

The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire by Dan Howell & Phil Lester

Format (That I Read It):

Book

Summary:

Hello reader,

In this book is a world. A world created by two awkward guys who share their lives on the internet!

We are Dan and Phil and we invite you on a journey inside our minds! From the stories of our actual births to exploring Phil's teenage diary and all the reasons why Dan's a fail.

Learn how to draw the perfect cat whiskers, get advice on what to do in an awkward situation and discover which of our dining chairs represents you emotionally. With everything from what we text each other, to the time we met One Direction and what really happened in Vegas...

Initial Thoughts:

Dan and Phil were the some of the first actual Youtubers that I watched all the time. I loved the dynamic between the two friends. I remember staying up really late watching all their videos. I would also show everyone I knew their videos. So when I heard that they had a book out I just had to read it.

Review:

Since I was in the middle of my Spooky October Challenge of reading something creepy every day when the book came in the mail my plan was to only read a page here and there in between my challenge. That plan went out the window when I started the first page. I started reading and I couldn't stop. Reading Dan and Phil's book was funny, engaging, and insightful. The art was my favorite thing. All the different artwork was so aesthetically pleasing. My favorite art was the fanart and the Dan and Phil manga. My other favorites included: Dan's fanfiction, what really happened in Vegas, the Japan vacation and taking the chair quiz (I was the grey chair). Reading the Japan vacation made me every envious. It's now on my list of places to go. Overall it was a light funny read that broke up all the dark dreadfulness that was my October Challenge.
